Job Overview
Seeking an experienced Security and Video Surveillance System Installation & Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing electronic security products including alarm systems, video surveillance, access control systems, and low-voltage cabling.
Responsiblities
- Install and configure video surveillance, access control, and alarm systems
- Perform low-voltage cabling, wiring, mounting, and setup of security devices
- Program and troubleshoot DVR, NVR, and alarm panels
- Conduct site surveys to ensure accurate system design and project scope
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and respond to service requests
- Report daily installation progress to the Project Manager and customers
- Identify and resolve technical issues, documenting them as needed
- Maintain detailed records using electronic service applications
- Ensure all work adheres to safety and industry standards
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism at all times
Skills and Qualifications
- Valid Texas Security License
- Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Experience installing security alarms, access control, and surveillance systems
- Proficiency in Windows 10 & Microsoft Office products
- Ability to pass background, credit, and MVR checks
High School Diploma or equivalent
Additional Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience running, terminating, and testing low-voltage cabling
- Experience with KeyScan/Dormakaba products (preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience programming alarm panels & configuring DVR/NVRs
- Knowledge of IP-based security systems and networks
- Access control & door hardware installation experience (maglocks, power door operators, electrified locks, etc.)
- Associate degree in Electronics or Low Voltage System Design (or equivalent certifications)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
