Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality IT services, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role involves working closely with clients, Project Managers, and System Engineers to support IT infrastructure, applications, desktop and mobile devices support.

Responsiblities

  • Deliver exceptional IT support to clients, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client networks and IT systems.
  • Assist in backup maintenance, disaster recovery, and data protection efforts.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, and Mac systems.
  • Configure POP, SMTP, and Exchange clients, including Outlook.
  • Manage Windows Server environments, including file permissions, remote access services, user administration, and log monitoring.
  • Provide hands-on support for hardware, including servers, NICs, video cards, and other peripherals.
  • Handle network infrastructure tasks such as VLANs, routing, and firewall configuration.
  • Support corporate antivirus systems, mobile messaging technologies (iOS, Android), and VPN connectivity.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed. 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT support roles.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including Cisco switching, VLANs, and routing.
  • Proficiency in server hardware technologies, backup/recovery systems, and antivirus solutions.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift PC equipment (up to 50 lbs) and run local cabling.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to client sites.
