Job Overview

LABUSA is seeking a UX and QA Accessibility Specialist to support the design, testing, accessibility, and quality assurance of data dashboards and web-based applications.

This hybrid role will work closely with solution architects, BI developers, and web developers to ensure digital products are intuitive, visually consistent, responsive, accessible, and ready for production deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Translate requirements and user stories into wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and interface designs.
  • Design intuitive user experiences for dashboards, data visualization applications, and web portals.
  • Develop responsive layouts supporting desktop, tablet, and mobile users.
  • Apply client branding standards consistently across digital interfaces.
  • Review dashboard visualizations for readability, consistency, usability, and accessibility.
  • Ensure appropriate typography, visual hierarchy, navigation, labels, contrast, and interface consistency.
  • Evaluate applications against WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements.
  • Test keyboard navigation, content structure, alternative text, form behavior, labels, focus states, and other accessibility features.
  • Conduct functional, usability, responsive, and cross-browser testing.
  • Develop test cases, acceptance criteria, QA checklists, and defect reports.
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Document user feedback, defects, and enhancement requests.
  • Verify fixes through regression testing.
  • Conduct multiple rounds of testing and refinement prior to production release.
  • Collaborate with developers to resolve usability, accessibility, and functional issues.
  • Support development of user guides, training materials, and handover documentation.

Skills and Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, software quality assurance, accessibility, or related digital product work.
  • Demonstrated experience creating wireframes and interactive prototypes.
  • Experience testing responsive web applications.
  • Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Experience conducting functional and usability testing.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, or comparable design/prototyping tools.
  • Experience designing data dashboards and analytical applications.
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA.
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools and manual accessibility testing.
  • Experience testing multilingual applications.
  • Experience with CMS-based websites.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or comparable visualization platforms.
  • Experience supporting structured UAT processes.
  • Experience working on government, international development, NGO, or enterprise technology projects.
