Video Surveillance & Low-Voltage Cabling

LABUSA designs, installs and supports video surveillance systems and the low voltage cabling they depend on, as a Texas DPS Licensed Security Contractor.

This page sets out the corporate capability. The detailed offerings, system options and specifications live on the specialist LABUSA Security property, linked throughout.

Why surveillance projects disappoint

The camera is rarely the problem. Most disappointing systems were let down by what sits behind them.

  • The cabling was an afterthought. Bandwidth, power and pathways were sized for the original count and the system cannot grow.
  • Coverage was specified by quantity. A number of cameras was agreed before anyone established what actually had to be seen, and in what light.
  • Retention was not costed. Storage was sized for a period nobody checked against the organization's own policy or obligations.
  • It was never integrated. Surveillance, access control and alarms run as three systems, so an event has to be reconstructed by hand across three interfaces.
What we help you accomplish

Coverage that answers a question

Specified from what has to be identified and under what conditions, rather than from a camera count.

Infrastructure sized to grow

Structured cabling, power and network capacity planned for the system you will have, not only the one being installed.

One integrated system

Surveillance designed alongside access control and alarms so an incident can be reviewed in one place.
