LABUSA Awarded Web Management TIPS Contract

PEARLAND, TX — Monday, September 26, 2022- LABUSA, a provider of cloud-based managed services, announces that the company has been awarded Contract 220701 (Web Hosting, Services or Content Management) by The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS).

TIPS is the purchasing cooperative of Region 8 Education Service Center, the Lead Public Agency that manages the contract.  Approved agencies can utilize the contract for their purchasing needs.  This contract is a renewal and replacement for TIPS contract 190701, which LABUSA performed for three years.  Under the scope of the contract, LABUSA can support agencies with web hosting and cloud-based Software as a Service, including email and electronic fax.

“The contract offers clients the ability to deploy fully managed websites, learning management systems (LMS), and content management systems (CMS).  The hosting is a multi-cloud environment, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and a Data Center facility in Houston, Texas.  The systems’ scalability, flexibility in levels of control and support are some key advantages to the service offerings.”, said Martin Laster, President of LABUSA.

The LABUSA hosting solutions operate under ISO 9001:2015 standards and the NIST SP 800-171 framework.  Integration between its Houston Data Center and third-party cloud providers Amazon and Azure helps reduce development cycles. The capabilities to integrate with secure cloud-based telephony applications help LABUSA differentiate from other providers that do not provide enterprise-grade hosting solutions.

“Beyond just another web development and hosting platform with lots of features, LABUSA has disaster recovery (DR) services that give its clients the confidence of knowing its workload can continue.   Agencies can redefine their business rules to protect data better and quickly recover from human error, natural disasters, and even ransomware attacks.  The DR capabilities in LABUSA virtualized environments can dramatically reduce the impact on operations.”, said Martin Laster.

Contract administration and purchasing is a time-consuming but necessary activity for organizations in the public section.  However, the TIPS cooperative agreement program provides a proven process to eliminate purchasing-related stress for public entities.  Education, Government, and Non-Profit organizations can benefit TIPS program.  The LABUSA TIPS Contract 220701 is making it easier for these public agencies to get the services needed for the website and mobile hosting and development projects.
